Steve Benson insults federal judge

When judges disagree with our president, he calls them jerks.   When Republic cartoonist Steve Benson doesn't like a federal judge's opinion, he calls the judge a jerk and appropriates Santa Claus, a symbol of peace and good will, to do it.   What's the difference between Steve Benson and President Trump.   At least the president has the decency not to put hateful words and disrespect for our judicial system in Santa's mouth.

Cartoon for Dec. 19, 2018.

Most Americans agree that there are problems with our health care system.  Not all of us agree on what the problems are.   There is a lack of self awareness among the employed (like Mr. Benson) that not all Americans are treated the same when it comes to health care.   Mr. Benson doesn't have to buy health insurance in the market place.  He and millions of others have tax-privileged health plans paid for by their employers, which exclude many of our sickest American's from their risk pool giving Mr. Benson and company an overall lower cost of health care.   Let's work for health care equality in the new year.
